Willing and eligible candidates are invited to a walk in interview to be held in the office of the College of Veterinary Science, Khanapara, Guwahati-22, as per approval of Director of Research (Vety.), Assam Agricultural University (A.A.U.) to fill up few posts of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Senior Research Fellow (SRF), which are lying vacant/ likely to be vacant in some externally funded projects in the Department of Microbiology.

Name of the Post: Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Senior Research Fellow (SRF)

No. of Vacancies: Two vacant in two projects/ two to three are likely to be vacant soon in two other projects.

Educational Qualification: M. V. Sc. in Microbiology/ Animal Biotechnology/ Pathology/ Parasitology/ Veterinary Public Health and Epidemiology or M.Sc. in Microbiology/ Biotechnology.

Remuneration:

• Candidates having M.V.Sc. degree will get Rs.25,000/- PM + HRA for first 2-years and Rs. 28,000/- PM + HRA for 3rd year onwards.
• Candidates having M.Sc. degree with NET/ GATE/ BET/ BINC or equivalent will get Rs.16,000/- PM + HRA for first 2-years and Rs. 18,000/- PM + HRA for 3rd year onwards.
• Candidates having M.Sc. degree without NET/ GATE/ BET/ BINC or equivalent will get Rs.12,000/- PM + HRA for first 2-years and Rs. 14,000/- PM + HRA for 3rd year onwards.

Engagement Period: The posts are purely temporary and coterminous with the project. The recruitment will be initially for one year and will be extended periodically based on the satisfactory performance of the incumbent.

Application Fee: Candidates shall have to pay Rs. 50/- (Rs. 25 For SC/ ST candidates) in IPO drawn in favor of the Comptroller, AAU, Jorhat.
