Applications are invited for the positions of Subject Matter Specialist (Agro-meteorology) purely on contractual basis under the externally funded Project 'District Agromet (DAMU)' in the KVKs under this Institute. 

Name of the Post:  Subject Matter Specialist (Agro-meteorology)

Total Post: 06 [UR-5, OBC-1] - 1 (one) each at Ri-bhoi, Umiam (Meghalaya), East Sikkim, Ranipul (Sikkim), Namsai (Arunachal Pradesh), Kephir (Nagaland), Chandel (Manipur) and Hailakandi (Assam).

Essential Qualification: Post Graduation in Meteorology/ Agro-meteorology/ Agronomy/ Agriculture Physics/ Horticulture.

Desirable: 

i) Capability of statistical data analysis through computer software.

ii) Experience in preparation of Agro-Advisory Bulletin and operation of Computer.

iii) Capability of handling inter-institution assignments.

iv) Preference will be given to the candidates having Agro-meteorology qualification.

Pay Band: PB-3, Rs. 15,600-39,100/- plus Rs. 5,400/-

Age Limit maximum 35 years as on date of closing. Relaxable for SC/ST/OBC/ExS and Physically handicapped as per rule.
