The Institute for Plasma Research (IPR) is a premier scientific institute under the Department of Atomic Energy, Govt. of India. IPR is located in Bhat Village, GIDC, Sector – 25, Gandhinagar and has a Center at Guwahati.
Applications are invited from highly motivated and result oriented candidates for 44 nos. of temporary posts in the following projects.
PROJECT-A
1. Project Scientific Assistant: (02 Posts) - Diploma in Instrumentation / Electronics Engineering with 1-year of experience in the relevant field is desirable.
2. Project Scientific Assistant: (02 Posts) - Diploma in Electrical Engineering with 1 year of experience in the relevant field is desirable.
3. Project Tradesman: (01 Post) - ITI in Electrical Trade with 1 year of experience in the relevant field is desirable.
4. Project Scientific Assistant: (01 Post) - Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering with 1 year of experience in the relevant field is desirable. 05 Project Scientific Assistant One Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 1-year experience in the relevant field is desired.
6. Project Scientific Assistant (01 Post) - Diploma in Instrumentation and Control Engineering with 1-year experience in the relevant field is desired.
7. Project Scientific Assistant (02 Posts) - Diploma in Electrical Engineering.

1. Project Scientific Assistant: (05 Posts) - B.Sc (Physics)
2. Project Scientific Assistant: (01 Post) - Diploma in Electronics Engineering

1. Project Scientific Officer: (01 Post) - B.E/ B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
2. Project Scientific Assistant: (01 Post) - B.Sc (Physics) with 1-year desirable experience in experiments.
3. Project Scientific Officer: (01 Post) - B.E/ B.Tech in Computer Engineering and experience on software programming in LabVIEW is desirable.
4. Project Scientific Officer: (01 Post) - M.Sc (Physics).
5. Project Scientific Assistant: (01 Post) - Diploma in Electrical & Electronics or Instrumentation with 1-year desirable experience.
PROJECT-E
1. Project Scientific Assistant: (01 Post) - Diploma in Computer Science / Computer Engineering.
PROJECT-F
1. Project Scientific Assistant: (01 Post) - Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 2 years’ experience.
2. Project Scientific Assistant: (01 Post) - Diploma in Electrical Engineering with 2 years’ experience.
3. Project Technician: (01 Post) - ITI Instrument Mechanic (1st Class) with NCVT / GCVT / NTC / NAC with 2 years’ experience in relevant field.
4. Project Technician: (01 Post) - ITI Welder (1st Class) with NCVT / GCVT / NTC / NAC with 2 years’ experience in relevant field.
5. Project Technician: (01 Post) - ITI Electrician (1st Class) with NCVT / GCVT / NTC / NAC with 2 years’ experience in relevant field.
PROJECT-G
1. Project Scientific Officer: (01 Post) - M.Sc Physics / Material Science with 2 years’ experience.
2. Project Scientific Assistant: (01 Post) - Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 2 years’ experience.
3. Project Scientific Assistant: (02 Posts) - Diploma in Electrical Engineering with 2 years’ experience.
4. Project Scientific Officer: (02 Posts) - BE/ B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with 2 years’ experience.
5. Project Scientific Officer: (01 Post) - BE/ B.Tech in Electrical Engineering with 2 years’ experience.
6. Project Scientific Assistant: (01 Post) - B.Sc in Physics / Material Science with 2 years’ experience
PROJECT-H
1. Project Technician: (02 Posts) - First class ITI in Refrigeration & Air conditioning having 1-year experience in operation of central air conditioning plant comprising the chillers, cooling towers, pumps, instrumentations, valves, fittings etc.
2. Project Technician: (01 Post) - First class ITI in electrical having 1-year experience of maintenance of electrical panels, AHU / DDC Panels etc.
Age Limit: 30 Years. Age relaxation is admissible to ST/ SC/ OBC/ PwD/ Ex-servicemen applicants as per Government of India orders issued on the subject.
Period: The appointment will be purely on temporary basis upto 31st March, 2020 or co-terminus with the completion of the project, whichever is earlier.
Consolidated Remuneration:
- Rs.71,000/- p.m. for Project Scientific Officer
- Rs.44,000/- p.m. for Project Scientific Assistant
- Rs.26,000/- p.m. for Project Tradesman
- Rs.26,000/- p.m. for Project Technician
Selection Process: Written Exam or/ and Interview.
