Dibrugarh University invites Applications (along with 07 photocopies of the same) in the prescribed form of the University from intending eligible candidate for the following teaching posts in the Dibrugarh University.

A. Professor:

1. Anthropology (01 Posts) - Specialization: Social and Cultural Anthropology/ Physical Anthropology
2. English (01 Posts) - Specialization: Open
3. Commerce (01 Posts) - Specialization: Open
4. Education (Teacher Education) (01 Posts)  - Specialization: Open. Qualification: M.Ed/ M.A. in Education.
5. Mathematics (01 Posts) - Specialization: Open
6. Sociology (01 Posts) - Specialization: Open
7. Assamese (01 Posts) - M.A. in Assamese Sankskrit/ Bengali/ Hindi/ Oriya/ English, the candidates other than those who have done M.A. in Assamese must have proficiency in Assamese with 10 years experience.
8. Physics (01 Posts)  - Specialization: Geophysics.

B. Associate Professor:

1. Anthropology (01 Post) - Specialization: Social and Cultural Anthropology.
2. Statistics (02 Posts) - Specialization: Open/ Biostatistics.
3. Economics (02 Posts) - Specialization: Agricultural Economics/ Demography.
4. Political Science (03 Posts) - Specialization: Open/ Political Theory.
5. Sociology (01 Post) - Specialization: Open
6. Physics (01 Post) - Specialization: Open
7. History (01 Post) - Specialization: Open
8. Education (01 Post) - Specialization: Open. Qualification: M.A./ M.Ed.
9. Life Science (01 Post) - Specialization: Microbiology. M.Sc. in Botany.
10. Mathematics (01 Post) - Specialization: Open
11. English (01 Post) - Specialization: Open

C. Assistant Professor:

1. Anthropology (01 Post) - Specialization: Prehistoric Anthropology.
2. Education (01 Post) - Specialization: Open. Qualification: PG Degree in English with M.Ed.
3. Life Science (02 Posts) - Specialization: Plant Ecology/ Entomology. Qualification: M.Sc. in Botany/ Life Science (Botany) or M.Sc. in  Zoology/ Life Science (Zoology).

Pay Scale:
A. Professor: Pay Matrix: Rs.1,44,200 - 2,18,200
B. Associate Professor: Pay Matrix: Rs.1,31,400 - 2,17,100
C. Assistant Professor: Pay Matrix: Rs.57,700 - 1,82,400

Note: Mere fulfillment of the minimum eligibility criteria shall not entitle an applicant for consideration to be called for interview and the decision of the Screening Committee(s) for shortlisting of candidates shall be final and binding.
