National Institute of Hydrology (NIH) (A Govt. of India Society under Ministry of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation) invites online applications for the posts as per details given below for its Headquarters at Roorkee and Regional Centres at Patna, Kakinada, Guwahati, Belgaum, Jammu and Bhopal or any part of the country where the Institute may set up offices/regional centres.

1. Senior Research Assistant

Total Post: 01 (OBC)

Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering in Civil/ Computer Engineering. OR Post Graduate Degree in Physics/ Mathematics/ Hydrology/ Earth Sciences after acquiring Bachelor’s Degree with Physics and Mathematics or Computer Application.

Age: Between 18 to 30 years.

2. Research Assistant

Total Post: 01 (EWS)

Qualification: Diploma of 3 years’ duration in Civil/ Computer Engg. OR Bachelor’s Degree in Science with Physics/Chemistry and Mathematics. 3 years experience in relevant field.

Age: Between 18 to 27 years.

3. Junior Engineer (Senior Grade)

Total Post: 01 (UR)

Qualification: Diploma of 3 years’ duration in Civil Engineering. 3 years of experience in the relevant field.

Age: Between 18 to 27 years.

4. Stenographer

Total Post: 04 [UR-3, OBC-1]

Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Science/Arts/Commerce from a recognized University.

Skill Test: Dictation: 10 minutes @ 80 words per minutes. Transcription: 50 minutes in English Language, 65 minutes in Hindi Language (On computer)

Age: Between 18 to 27 years.

5. Technician Grade-III

Total Post: 02 [UR]

Qualification: Passed High School with Science from a recognized Institution/ Board with 5 years of experience in the field of Mechanic Instrument Engineering/Information Technology & E.S.M. Engineering/Mechanic Electronics Engineering. OR (See Advt for More)

Age: Between 18 to 27 years.
