Online applications are invited from eligible candidates for temporary engagement of 01 (one) Law Clerk in the principal seat of the Gauhati High Court.

1. Name of Post: Law Clerk

No. of Vacancy: 01 Post

Qualification/ Experience: 

1. Candidate must be a Graduate/ Post Graduate in Law or Doctorate in law from any recognized University in India.
2. Candidate practicing at the Bar or having professional experience or literary works in Law to their credit would get preference.

Limit of Upper Age as on last date of application:

• General: 38 years
• OBC/ MOBC: 38 years
• SC/ ST: 43 years
• PWD: 48 years

Duration of Engagement: The attachment of law Clerks would be for one year.


Selection Process:

• Stage-I: Written Examination (Objective type) for 120 marks of 2 hours duration.
• Stage-II: Viva-voce/ Interview of 15 marks.

Application Fee: Person with disability (PwD) applicants need not to pay any fee. The details of application fee are indicated below:

• For SC/ ST: Rs.150/-
• For all others: Rs.300/-
