A walk-in-interview is scheduled to be held on 20.06.2019 from 10.30 AM onwards at Rain Forest Research Institute (RFRI), Jorhat for engagement of Research Associate/ Junior Project Fellow/ Project Assistant.

1. Research Associate
No. of Post: 02

Qualification: Doctoral degree or 3 years experience after completion of PG with first class in Forestry/ Agriculture/ Ecology/ Environment Science/ Geo-informatics/ Hydrology/ Watershed management.

Fellowship: Rs.40,000/- + 8% HRA


2. Junior Project Fellow
No. of Post: 01

Qualification: First class PG degree in Forestry/ Agriculture/ Ecology/ Environment Science/ Remote sensing & GIS/ Geography/ Engineering.

Fellowship: Rs.16,000/- + 8% HRA


3. Junior Project Fellow
No. of Post: 03

Qualification: First class PG degree in Forestry/ Agriculture/ Ecology/ Environment Science/ Geo-informatics/ Hydrology/ Watershed management.

Fellowship: Rs.16,000/- + 8% HRA


4. Junior Project Fellow
No. of Post: 01

Qualification: First class M.Sc. in Agriculture (specialization in plant/ pathology/ microbiology) OR First class M.Sc. in Botany (specialization in microbiology)

Fellowship: Rs.16,000/- + 8% HRA


5. Junior Project Fellow
No. of Post: 01

Qualification: First class M.Sc. in Agriculture/ Biotechnology/ Botany/ Genetics.

Fellowship: Rs.16,000/- + 8% HRA


6. Junior Project Fellow
No. of Post: 01

Qualification: First class M.Sc. in Agriculture (Soil Science)/ Enviromental Science/ Ecology/ Geo-informatics.

Fellowship: Rs.16,000/- + 8% HRA


5. Project Assistant
No. of Post: 01

Qualification: First class B.Sc. in Life Science/ Agriculture/ Biotechnology/ Forestry/ Botany.

Fellowship: Rs.15,500/- (fixed)



Condition: The posts are purely contractual and co-terminus with the projects.

Age Limit as on 01.06.2019:

• Research Associate: 35 years
• Junior Project Fellow and Project Assistant: 28 years
• Relaxable as per govt norms.

Note: Duly filled up application form along with testimonials will be accepted from 9.30 AM to 10.30 AM on the day of the Interview.
