Assam Public Service Commission invites applications from Indian Citizens for under mentioned posts under Assam Government.

1. Director of Economics & Statistics 

Department: Transformation & Development Department.

No. of Post: 01 (UR)

Educational Qualification:

A. Atleast 2nd Class Master's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or its equivalent.

OR

Degree of Recognized University with Statistics, Mathematics, Economics as Subject and a Diploma obtained after atleast 2 (two) years Post Graduate training in Statistics. (Attached self attested valid supporting documents)

Note: Doctorate of Other Research Degree in Statistics, Mathematics & Economics is desirable.

B. Not less than 10 (ten) years experience in Statistics Works/ Investigation/ Research in a Govt. Department or Commercial concern of repute or in conducting or guiding Research in Statistics in a University or Institute of Training & Research as evidenced by published work. Administrative experience for not less than 5 years in a responsible capacity. (Attached self attested valid supporting documents)

Scale of Pay: Rs.30,000-Rs.1,10,000/- plus GP- Rs.16,900/- of PB-4 plus other allowances.

Age: Not less than 35 years or more than 45 years as on 01.01.2019. Providing that for candidates belonging to the Assam Economics & Statistics service there shall be no upper age limit.

2. Inspector of Factories

Department: Labour Welfare Department

No. of Post: 02 (OBC/MOBC)

Educational Qualification: Degree in any branch of Engineering or Technology, preferably Mechanical/ Chemical or Electrical Engineering. (Attached self attested valid supporting documents)

Experience: Candidates should have practical experience of 2 (two) years in a workshop or manufacturing concern of good standard.

Scale of Pay: Rs.30,000-Rs.1,10,000/- plus GP- Rs.12,700/- of PB-4 plus other allowances.

Age: Candidates must not be less than 23 (twenty-three) years and above 38 (thirty eight) years. 3 (three) years age relaxation for OBC/ MOBC candidates.

Application Fee: 

• For General: Rs.250/-
• For SC/ST/OBC/MOBC: Rs.150
• For PWD: Nil
• Payment Mode: Fees should be deposited only through Treasury Challan.

Selection Process: Screening/ Written test/ Viva-voce interview, where necessary and as decided by the Commission.
