Online applications are invited from eligible candidates for filling up the following posts in the Principal Seat of the Gauhati High Court as well as in the Law Research Institute, Gauhati High Court.

1. Private Secretary (For the Principal Seat)
No. of Vacancy: 06 Posts [OBC/MOBC-3, SC-1, STP-1, STH-1]

2. Private Secretary (For the Law Research Institute)
No. of Vacancy: 01 Posts (UR)

Eligibility Criteria for Private Secretary Post: 

1. Candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree.
2. Should have a diploma in Stenography in English with minimum speed of 120 w.p.m. in shorthand and 50 w.p.m. on a computer. Due weightage will be given to Law graduate.

Pay Scale: PB-4, Rs.30,000-1,10,000/-, Grade Pay-13,300/-

Limit of Upper Age as on last date of application:

• General: 38 years
• OBC/ MOBC: 38 years
• SC/ ST: 43 years
• PWD: 48 years

Selection Process:

• Stage-I: Written Examination (Descriptive type) for 120 marks of 2 hours duration.
• Stage-II: Stenography Test (Dictation & Transcription) for 90 marks.
• Stage-III: Viva-voce/ Interview of 10 Marks.

Application Fee: Person with disability (PwD) applicants need not to pay any fee. The details of application fee are indicated below:

• For SC/ ST: Rs.150/-
• For all others: Rs.300/-
