Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) invites applications from Indian Citizens for under mentioned posts under Assam Government.
1. Lecturer
Department: In Govt. College of Arts & Crafts, Assam under Cultural Affairs Department.No. of Post: 07
Scale of pay: Rs. 30,000-1, 10,000 (Pay Band 4)+GP 12,700/-
Age (as on 01/01/2019): 21-38 years. Upper age limit is relaxable by Govt rules.
Educational Qualification:
(a) Lecturer in Painting - [UR-2, OBC/MOBC-1] At least 55% marks in MFA (painting). Preference will be given to those who have qualified in UGC/NET or equivalent exam.
(b) Lecturer in Graphics - [UR-1, OBC/MOBC-1] At least 55% marks in MFA (Graphics). Preference will be given to those who have qualified in UGC/NET or equivalent exam.
(c) Lecturer in Applied Art - [OBC/MOBC-1] At least 55% marks in MFA (Applied Art). Preference will be given to those who have qualified in UGC/NET or equivalent exam.
(d) Lecturer in History of Art - [OBC/MOBC-1] At least 55% marks in MFA (History of Art). Preference will be given to those who have qualified in UGC/NET or equivalent exam.
(i) An Advocate enrolled under the Advocates Act 1961 who has been practising as such for at least three (3) years; or
(ii) A Judicial of at least 3 (three) years standing; or
(iii) A Chief Language Officer of the Legislative Department holding a degree in Law and having 3 years experience as such officer or with 2 (two) years experience as such officer if he has previous experience as an Advocate for at least 3 (three) years; or
(iv) A Language Officer of the Legislative Department holding a Degree in Law and having 5 (five) years experience as such officer or 2 (two) years experience as Language Officer if he has previous experience as an Advocate for at least 4 (four) years.
(i) An Advocate enrolled under the Advocates Act 1961 who has been practising as such for at least three(3) years; or
(ii) A Judicial of at least 3 (three) years standing; or
(iii) A Chief Language Officer of the Legislative Department holding a degree in Law and having 3 years experience as such officer or with 2 (two) years experience as such officer if he has previous experience as an Advocate for at least 3 (three) years; or
(iv) A Language Officer of the Legislative Department holding a Degree in Law and having 5 (five) years experience as such officer or 2 (two) years experience as Language Officer if he has previous experience as an Advocate for at least 4 (four) years.

2. Law Assistant
Department: Legal Remembrancer & Under Secretary Govt. of Assam, Judicial Department.
No. of Post: 01 (UR)
Scale of pay: P.B – 4 Rs. 30,000/-1,10,000/-p.m. Plus a grade pay of Rs 12,700/-p.m.
Age (as on 01/01/2019): 21-38 years. Upper age limit is relaxable by Govt rules.
Educational Qualification:
(ii) A Judicial of at least 3 (three) years standing; or
(iii) A Chief Language Officer of the Legislative Department holding a degree in Law and having 3 years experience as such officer or with 2 (two) years experience as such officer if he has previous experience as an Advocate for at least 3 (three) years; or
(iv) A Language Officer of the Legislative Department holding a Degree in Law and having 5 (five) years experience as such officer or 2 (two) years experience as Language Officer if he has previous experience as an Advocate for at least 4 (four) years.
3. Junior Legislative Counsel
Department: Under Secretary Govt. of Assam, Legislative Department.
No. of Post: 01 (UR)
Scale of pay: P.B – 4 Rs. 30,000/-1,10,000/-p.m. Plus a grade pay of Rs 12,700/-p.m.
Age (as on 01/01/2019): 21-38 years. Upper age limit is relaxable by Govt rules.
Educational Qualification:
(i) An Advocate enrolled under the Advocates Act 1961 who has been practising as such for at least three(3) years; or
(ii) A Judicial of at least 3 (three) years standing; or
(iii) A Chief Language Officer of the Legislative Department holding a degree in Law and having 3 years experience as such officer or with 2 (two) years experience as such officer if he has previous experience as an Advocate for at least 3 (three) years; or
(iv) A Language Officer of the Legislative Department holding a Degree in Law and having 5 (five) years experience as such officer or 2 (two) years experience as Language Officer if he has previous experience as an Advocate for at least 4 (four) years.
Application Fee:
- For General: Rs.250/-
- For SC/ST/OBC/MOBC: Rs.150
- For PWD/ BPL: Nil
- Payment Mode: Fees should be deposited only through Treasury Challan.
