Applications (in Standard Form) are hereby invited from intending/ eligible candidates for filling up the following posts which lying vacant in the office of the Commissioner, Upper Assam Division, Jorhat.



1. Receptionist-cum-LDA
No. of Vacancy: 01 (EWS)

Qualification: Bachelor's degree and equivalent. Certificate/ Diploma in Computer Typing both in Assamese and English.
Scale of Pay: PB-2, Rs.14,000-60,500/- plus GP-Rs.6,200/-


2. Office Peon
No. of Vacancy: 02 [OBC/MOBC-1, EWS-1]

Qualification: Minimum qualification Class-VIII pass.
Scale of Pay: PB-1, Rs.12,000-52,000/- plus GP-Rs.3,900/-


3. Night Chowkidar
No. of Vacancy: 01 (UR)

Qualification: Minimum qualification Class-VIII pass.
Scale of Pay: PB-1, Rs.12,000-52,000/- plus GP-Rs.3,900/-



Age Limit: 18-38 years as on 1st January 2019. The upper age limit will be relaxed in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD as per rules admissible.


Selection Process:

For Receptionist-cum-LDA: Written Test & Computer Test
  • General English (General Knowledge & Arithmetic) - 125 Marks
  • Precise writing and Drafting - 25 Marks
  • Computer Test (for written test qualified candidates only) : 25 Marks
For Office Peon & Night Chowkidar: Written Exam of 100 Marks
  • General Knowledge
  • General English
  • Language Skill in Assamese

Note: The Candidates must have registered their names in the Employment Exchange and registration number along with the date must be mentioned in their application.
