Online applications are invited from intending eligible candidates having registration in Employment Exchanges in the State of Assam for filling up the following vacancies in the cadre of Driver post in Secretariat Administration (Civil).

Name of the Post: Driver

No. of Post: 11 [UR-9, STH-1, EWS-1]

Essential Qualification: HSLC examination passed or equivalent. Must possess a valid Driving License (Cab).

Age: 18-44 years as on 01/01/2019. Upper age limit is relaxable by 3 yrs for OBC/ MOBC and 5 yrs for SC/ST Candidates.

Application Fee: Nil

Mode of Selection: A candidate have to appear in the following examination for selection:

Phase-I: Written Test on Driving knowledge on Traffic Rules & Traffic Signals to be held at Guwahati on the date to be notified later on. The Driving knowledge on Traffic Rules & Traffic Signals will be of 100 marks.

Phase-II: Against each vacancy four candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of the marks obtained in the Written Test on Driving knowledge on Traffic Rules & Traffic Signals. The shortlisted candidates will have to appear along with all original testimonials in the Driving Skill Test to be held at Guwahati to be notified later on. The driving Skill Test will be of 100 marks.

How To Apply: Candidates are required to apply in prescribed form through Online Mode only. Instructions for filling up prescribed online form will be available on the official website. Online form may be filled up w.e.f. 11 AM of 22/10/2019 to 4 PM of 05/11/2019.
