Pay, Perks and Other Benefits: Basic pay- Rs. 21700/- (Pay Level-3) plus Dearness Allowance and other allowances based on the nature of duty/ place of posting.

Educational Qualification for Indian Coast Guard Navik GD:

Passed HS (10+2) with Maths and Physics with at least  50% aggregate marks.

(Relaxation of 5% marks will be given in minimum cut off for SC/ ST candidates and outstanding sports personnel of National level who have obtained Ist, IInd or IIIrd position in any sports events at the Open National Championship/ Inter-state National Championship.

Age Limit:

Minimum 18 Years and maximum 22 years i.e. born between 1st August 1998 to 31st July 2002 (both dates inclusive). Upper age relaxation of 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.

• Guwahati: (For Candidates residing in Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya and Sikkim State)

Selection Process for Indian Coast Guard Navik Recruitment:

(A) Written Examination: The written test will be of objective type, which will generally cover subjects such as

• Maths,
• Physics,
• Basic Chemistry,
• Knowledge of English up to 12th standard,
• General Knowledge,
• Current Affairs,
• Quantitative Aptitude
• Reasoning etc.

(B) Physical Fitness Test (PFT): PFT will be conducted for all those who qualify the written tests. The PFT consists of:-

• 1.6 Kilometer run to be completed in 7 minutes
• 20 Squat ups (Uthak Baithak)
• 10 Push up.

(C) Medical Standards:

• Height: Minimum 157 Cm
• Chest: Minimum 5 Cm Expansion
• Weight: Praporte to Height & Age
• Squat Ups: 20 Times
• Push UP: 10 Times

Note: The final selection will be based on the basis of merit depending on their performance in  Written  Test,  Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and fitness in the Medical Examination.
