WPT BC Assam, Scholarship for ST/ OBC Students 2020 - Apply Online

WPT BC Assam Scholarship for ST/ OBC Students 2020: Directorate of WPT & BC invites applications Fresh Renewal applications for Pre-Matric and Post-Matric scholarships for students of Assam belonging to Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Other Backward Classes (OBC/ MOBC) are invited for the year 2019-20 through National Scholarship Portal (NSP) www.scholarships.gov.in.

WPT BC Assam Scholarship for ST/ OBC Students 2020 - Details:

Name of the Scheme:

1. Pre-Matric Scholarship to ST Students (Class IX-X)

Eligibility: Annual Family income should be Rs.2.00 Lakh.

2. Post-Matric Scholarship to ST Students

Eligibility: Annual Family income should be Rs.2.50 Lakh.

3. Pre-Matric Scholarship to OBC Students  (Class I-X)

Eligibility: Annual Family income should be Rs.2.50 Lakh.

4. Post-Matric Scholarship to OBC Students

Eligibility: Annual Family income should be Rs.1.50 Lakh.

Other Eligibility Criteria:

Applications will be entertained through online portal only for students studying in Govt. / Govt. aided Govt. recognized / Madhyamik/ Middle / Primary School/ University/ Higher Secondary Colleges including Medical/Technical Institutions etc having valid |U-DISE/ AISHE / NCVT code only. 

How To Apply:

All candidates are required to apply online through National Scholarship Portal (NSP) www.scholarships.gov.in and should submit hard copy to the Office of the Deputy Director, WPT & BC, Assam, Guwahati-6 latest by 15/03/2020.

(i) For verification of applications, each Institution has to fill their Institute's Nodal Officerregistration form and get it approved by the State Nodal Officer. If the Instituteschool/ college does not do so, they will not be able to verify the applications online.

(ii) Name, E-mail id and contact details of the State Nodal Officer for scholarship schemes are available on this Directorate website www.directorwptbc.assam.gov.in.

(iii) The guidelines for the schemes as well as Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and User manual for institutes are available on the National Scholarship Portal website www.scholarships.gov.in as well as on the website of this Directorate www.directorwptbc.assam.gov.in.

Note:

Institutions are hereby informed that timely verification of applications which include Scrutiny of documents viz. Caste Certificate, Income Certificate etc is the responsibility of the Institution Nodal Officer and will also be responsible/liable for any false or incorrect information.

It is also the responsibility of the Institution Nodal Officer to mobilize online applications of students and after verifications of the applications within the last date, submit the hard of the approved verified list to the Office of the Deputy Director, WPT & BC, Assam, Guwahati-6 latest by 15/03/2020.

Important Dates:

• Last date for Submission of Online Applications by Student: 29 February, 2020 Extended to 10th March 2020
• Last Date for Verification of Applications by Institutions: 11 March, 2020 Extended to 13th March 2020
• Last Date for Submission of Hard Copy of Applications: 15 March 2020
