Assam JMEE 2020: Notification for Eligibility, Admit Card, Apply Online @ astu.ac.in

Assam JMEE 2020: ASTU Guwahati released a notification for Joint MCA Entrance Examination (JMEE-2020) for Admission to 1st Semester of MCA Course for the Session 2020-21 in Engineering Colleges of Assam.

About Assam JMEE 2020:

Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU) conducted the Joint MCA Entrance Examination (JMEE) for admission into 1st Semester Class of MCA Programme of Assam Engineering College, Guwahati, Jorhat Engineering College, Jorhat, Girijananda Institute of Management and Technology, Guwahati for the session 2020-21. This year examination will be held on September 12, 2020.

Eligibility for Assam JMEE 2020:

To be eligible for Admission to any of the Colleges a candidate must fulfill the following conditions:-

(a) Age between 20 years to 26 years on 1st day of July 2020

(b) Recognized Bachelor’s Degree of Minimum 3 years duration with Mathematics at 10+2 level or at Graduation. The candidates must pass Mathematics as one of the subjects at 10+2 level or at Graduation.

(c) A minimum of 50% marks must be scored in the Qualifying Degree examination (45% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category)

* Candidates appearing in their final examination may also apply.

* Provisional admission shall be permitted provided that the student gives an undertaking that he/she shall be able to provide final mark sheet/ certificate of qualifying examination within 2 months of taking admission failing which the admission of the students shall automatically stand cancelled. *Candidates seeking provisional admission shall have to clear all subjects up to 5th Semester in degree level. These students will have to produce all mark sheets up to 5th Semester for verification during Counseling.

Application Fee for Assam JMEE 2020:

An Application Fee of Rs. 1000/- (One Thousand only) is to be paid online using “State Bank Collect” which facilitates payment through Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Net Banking. Assam Science and Technology University shall not accept hard copy of the Application and any other documents. Examination fee once paid, not refundable.

Assam JMEE 2020 Exam Pattern:

The examination will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) Type and comprise of a Single Paper of 3(three) hour duration. The paper has the following distribution:

a) Mathematics : 30 Questions

b) Reasoning : 30 Questions

c) English : 20 Questions

d) Fundamentals of Computing : 20 Questions

* It shall contain 100 multiple choice questions each carrying one mark.

* Four (4) marks will be awarded for every right answer and one (1) mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.

* There shall be no marks, in case; the candidate selects more than one option in the answer sheet. Option once marked cannot be changed and erased.

Admit Card for Assam JMEE 2020:

The Candidate will be able to download his/her admit card from the University website www.astu.ac.in from AUGUST 18, 2020 onwards by entering his/her Application Form number/User name and Password generated during the online submission of Application.

Medium of Entrance Test: 

The question paper contains questions in “English”.

Application Process for Assam JMEE 2020:

Candidates are required to apply online through the online portal available on ASTU website (www.astu.ac.in). The online application will be received from June 25, 2020 to July 20, 2020.

Applicants need not to send copy of Application Form or any Document to this office. However, candidates should take printout of the application form to be produced during counseling.

Upload Documents Size:

(a) Size of photograph must be less than 35 kb, height of the photograph between 250 pixels to 320 pixel and width of the photograph mist be between 150 pixels to 220 pixels. 

(b) Size of the signature must be less than 35kb, height of the signature must be between 100 pixels to 180 pixels and width of the signature must be between 150 pixels to  220 pixels.

(c) The photograph and signature should be either in ".jpeg" or ".jpg" format. Scanned clear signature in JPG/JPEG format (size between 4 kb–30kb).
