GMCH Guwahati Recruitment 2021 Notification:

Gauhati Medical College & Hospital (GMCH), Guwahati has released a job advertisement for recruitment 9 vacancy of Scientist-B, C, Research Assistant, Laboratory Technician, MTS and Data Entry Operator posts purely on temporary and contractual basis under “Setting up of State Level Viral Research & Diagnostics Laboratory (VRDL) under the Scheme entitled Establishment of a network of Laboratories for managing Epidemics and Natural Calamities” funded by ICMR-DHR, Govt. of India, in the Department of Microbiology, Gauhati Medical College, Guwahati-32 (Assam).

GMCH Guwahati Recruitment 2021 Details:

1. Scientist C (Medical)

No. of Post: 1

Qualification: Post Graduate Degree (MD/MS/DNB) in Microbiology with one year R&D/Teaching experience or Post Graduate Diploma in Microbiology with two years R&D/Teaching experience in the required subject from recognized University.

Or

MBBS Degree recognized by MCI or equivalent Degree from recognized University with 4 years R&D/Teaching experience in the required subject after MBBS Degree.

Or

BDS/B.V. sc.& AH Degree recognized by DCI/VCI with 5 years R&D/Teaching experience in the relevant subject after BDS/ B.V.Sc. Degree.

Pay: Rs. 67,000 + HRA per month

Age: 40 years as on 01.04.2021

2. Scientist C (Non medical)

No. of Post: 1

Qualification: B. Tech Degree in Biotechnology with Six years R&D / Teaching experience in the relevant subject after B. Tech Degree.

Or

First class Master's Degree in Microbiology/ Biotechnology from a recognized University with 4 years R&D / teaching experience in the relevant subject after 1st class Master Degree.

Or

Second class M. Sc. + Ph. D Degree in Microbiology/Biotechnology from a recognized University with 4 years R&D / teaching experience in the relevant subject after M. Se. + Ph.D.

Pay: RS. 67,000+ HRA per month

Age: 40 years as on 01.04.2021

3. Scientist B (Non Medical)

No. of Post: 1

Qualification: BE/ B. Tech Degree in Biotechnology with 2 years experience or equivalent Degree from a recognized University.

Or

1st class Master's Degree in Microbiology/ Biotechnology from a recognized University.

Or

2nd class M. Sc. + Ph.D degree in Microbiology/ Biotechnology from a recognized University.

Pay: Rs. 56,000 + HRA per month

Age: 35 years as on 01.04.2021

4. Research Assistant

No. of Post: 2

Qualification: Post Graduate Degree in relevant subject.

Desirable Qualification:

i. Research experience in Microbiology/Virology

ii. Knowledge of Computer Applications or Business Intelligence tools/ Data Management

Consolidated Pay: One Post-Rs. 35,000 per month. One Post Rs. 31,000 per month.

Age: 35 years as on 01.04.2021

5. Laboratory Technician

No. of Post: 2

Qualification: B.Sc./lntermediate with Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology or High School with 5 years Lab experience.

Desirable:

i. Minimum three-year experience in Microbiology preferably in Virology and Molecular biology

ii. Hands on experience of doing ELISA

iii. Knowledge of Computer Application

Pay: Rs. 20.000 + HRA per month

Age: 40 years as on 01.04.2021

6. Multi-Tasking Staff

No. of Post: 1

Qualification: High School/ Matric/ equivalent from a recognized Board

Desirable: 

i. Minimum one year experience in Laboratory work in recognized Institute/Health care setting

ii. Knowledge of Computer Application

Pay: Rs. 18,000 per month consolidated

Age: 30 years as on 01.04.2021

7. Data Entry Operator

No. of Post: 1

Qualification: Graduate from a recognized Institute with expertise in MS Office and Data Entry related work

Desirable: 

i. Minimum one year experience in relevant field in reputed office

ii. Preference will be given to BCA/B.Sc. (IT) or equivalent from recognized University/Institution.

iii. Typing speed 40 characters per minute

iv. Basic knowledge of Software and Hardware and able to attend trouble shooting of Computers, Printers and Network connectivity.

v. Abilitv to comoile health related reoort.

Pay: Rs. 20.000 per month consolidated

Age: 30 years as on 01.04.2021

Interview Schedule/ Selection Process:

The candidates will have to bring the signed copy of biodata with passport photo and xerox copy of all supporting documents along with the original documents.

➢ For Scientist & Research Assistant: 26.11.2021, 10 AM onward

➢ For the post of Laboratory Technician, Data Entry Operator, Multitasking Staff: 26.11.2021, 10 AM onward

● The short-listed candidate will be notified in the website of GMCH and will be called for interview.

● The shortlisted candidate will have to appear the interview with all original documents.
