1. Academic Registrar (Regular and Whole-time)
No. of Post: 1 (UR)

Qualification:
a) Consistently good academic record with at least a high 2nd Class Master's Degree in Arts/ Science/ Commerce from a recognized University with 55% marks or equivalent Grade or CGPA proportionate to that.
(b) A Doctorate Degree from a recognized University or equivalent published work or contribution in the field of educational planning and academic development in higher education.
(c) At least 10 (ten) year-experience as Associate Professor with experience of academic administration in a responsible position in a teaching institution.
Or
15 years of administrative experience of which 8 years as Deputy Registrar in academic offices as equivalent grade. Ph.D. Degree is desirable. 

Other Desirables:
Experience in academic administration, computer/ software/ automation of academic administration, exposure of alternative pedagogy, MOOCS, ERP, curriculum development, accreditation and ranking of academic institutions, etc.

Pay Band: Rs. 1, 44, 200/- - Rs.2,18,200/- (and all other admissible allowances)

2. Controller of Examinations
No. of Post: 1 (UR)

Qualification:
(a) Consistently good academic career with at least a high 2nd Class Master's Degree in Arts/ Science/ Commerce from a recognized University with at least 55% marks or equivalent Grade, or CGPA proportionate to that.
(b) A Doctorate Degree from a recognized University or equivalent published work or contribution in the field of educational planning and examination system in higher education.
(c) At least 10 (ten) year-experience in a responsible position in administration/ conduct of examinations/ teaching in Institutions of higher education.
(d) Conversant in the system of continuous evaluation, Semester and CBCS type of examination.

Other Desirables:
Experience of different examination systems, computer, software, automation of academic administration, ERP, MOOCS, continuous and comprehensive evaluation system, ABC, etc

Pay Band: Rs. 1, 44, 200/- - Rs.2,18,200/- (and all other admissible allowances)

3. Assistant Professor, Dept. of Performing Arts
No. of Post:

Specialization: 

[UR-1] Indian Classical Music (Vocal) with proficiency in Sattriya Music
[UR-EWS-1] Dramatic and Theatre Art (having exposure to Sattriya Culture)

Qualification:

A.
i) Master’s Degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is
followed) in the relevant subject or an equivalent degree from an Indian/Foreign University.

ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC,CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be. Provided further, candidates registered for the Ph.D. programme prior to July 11, 2009, shall be governed by the provisions of the then existing Ordinances / Bye-laws / Regulations of the Institutions awarding the degree and such Ph.D. candidates shall be exempted from the requirement of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges / Institutions subject to the fulfillment of the following conditions:-

a) Ph.D. degree of the candidate awarded inregular mode only;
b) Evaluation of the Ph.D. thesis by at least two external examiners;
c) Open Ph.D. viva voce of the candidate had been conducted;
d) Candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph.D. work out of which at least one must be in a refereed journal;
e) Candidate has made at least two presentations in conference/seminars, based on his/her Ph.D work.
(a) to (e) as above are to be certified by the Registrar/ Dean (Academic Affairs) or by other officials designated by the concerned University.

iii) NET/SLET/SET shall not be required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.

OR

B. 
A traditional and a professional artist with highly commendable professional achievement in the concerned subject having Bachelor degree, who should have: 

(a) Studied under noted/reputed traditional Masters/Artists 
(b) ‘A‘grade artist of AIR/Doordarshan; and 
(c) Ability to explain with logical reasoning the subject concerned and adequate knowledge to teach theory with illustrations in said discipline

Pay Band: Rs. 57,500/- - Rs.2,82,400/- (and all other admissible allowances)

4. Demonstrator/ Graduate Instructor
No. of Post: 1 (STP)

Qualification: 
(i) A bachelor degree from a recognized University.
(ii) Diploma or Degree in any branch of Performing Arts preferably Sattriya Music and Dance.
(iii) Ability to work with computer.

Specialization: Sattriya Music and Dance/ Other forms of Dances- Classical and Folk

Pay Band: Rs. 14,000/- - Rs.60,500/-, G.P. 8,700/- (and all other admissible allowances)
Age Limit: As per Rule

5. Cook
No. of Post: 1 (UR-EWS)

Qualification:
(i) HSLC Passed.
(ii) Knowledge of food safety and hygiene to ensure candidates are aware of health standards and protocols.
(iv) Ability to follow recipes and prepare dishes according to established standard.
(v) Having culinary arts degree, certificate, or relevant vocational training and experience shall be preferred.

Pay Band: Rs. 12,000/- - Rs.52,000/-, G.P. 4,400/- (and all other admissible allowances)

Age Limit of Majuli University of Culture


The age limit of the candidates will be calculated on the basis of the Matriculation/ HSLC Admit Card or Pass Certificate issued by a recognized Central/State Board./CounciI and no other document shall be accepted in lieu of the mentioned documents.

Age Limit for Grade-III & IV: Age Relaxation for Grade-III & IV: The Upper is limit for entry into the state government service from 38 years to 40 years for Grade-III and Grade-IV post will be considered as per the notification no. ABP.612016151 dated the 2nd September 2020 issued by the Government of Assam, Department of Personnel: Personnel (B), Guwahati.

Age relaxation for reserved categories will be applicable as per Govt. of Assam.
