Name of Post: Assistant Teacher (LP) & Assistant Teacher (UP)
No of Posts: 4500 posts
• Lower Primary: 2900 posts
• Upper Primary: 1600 posts
Name of Department: Directorate of Elementary Education (DEE), Assam
Scale of Pay: PB-2 of Rs.14,000 – Rs.70,000 plus Grade Pay and other allowances as admissible under the rules.
District-wise vacancy: The district-wise, medium-wise and category-wise break-up of vacancies showing the reservation for EWS/OBC/MOBC/SC/ST(P)/ST(H)/PwD/Women etc. will be notified in due course of time.
Educational Qualification for DEE LP UP Recruitment
Assistant Teacher (LP):
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
TET : Passed in Assam TET or Central for LPS.
Assistant Teacher (UP):
Graduate from the UGC recognized University and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or B. Ed. or D. Ed. (Special Education) or B. Ed. (Special Education).
TET : Passed in Assam TET or Central TET for Upper Primary School.
Science Teacher (UP)
B. Sc. from the UGC recognized University and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or B. Ed. or D. Ed. (Special Education) or B. Ed. (Special Education) .
TET : Passed in Assam TET or Central TET for Upper Primary School.
Other Criteria for DEE LP UP Recruitment 2025
Age Limit: A candidate must not be less than 18 years of age and not more than 40 years as on 1st January 2025.
Age Relaxation: The Category-wise age relaxation for different categories are as mentioned below:
• Ex-Servicemen: 42 years
• OBC/ MOBC: 43 years
• SC/ST(P)/ST(H): 45 years
• Persons with Disability (PwD): 50 years
Small Family Norms: No person having more than two living children on or after 01/01/2021 from a single or multiple partners shall be eligible for appointment as per the Govt. policy on Small Family Norms .
Medium of Instruction: Either Language-I or the Language-II of both ATET and CTET candidates shall match the medium of instruction of the school, wherein the candidate wishes to apply.
How to Apply for DEE LP UP Recruitment 2025
The eligible candidates shall apply online in the official website of DEE, Assam, i.e. www.dee.assam.gov.in from 15th January 2025.
Candidates should be cautious while submitting the online application as once the online application is submitted against a particular Roll Number of ATET/CTET| examination, they will not be allowed to submit the online application for second time.
After submitting the online application, the candidates will get a Unique Number against the submitted application and will keep the printout of the unique Number for all future references.
Documents required to be uploaded in colour:
• Passport Size Photograph.
• HSLC Admit Card.
• HSSLC Mark-sheet and Certificate.
• Degree Mark-sheet and Certificate.
• Any other Mark-sheet and Certificate of higher education.
• DEIEd/ BEd Marksheet (1st Year & 2nd Year) and Certificate
• Caste Certificate (in case of SC/ ST(P)/ST(H)/OBC/MOBC).
• Document in support of Permanent Resident of Assam.
• Certificate NCC (Only B or C Category only), Sports & Cultural (if represented state at National Level).
• Certificate and Mark sheet of ATET/CTET.
• Candidates with disabilities will have to enclose certificates of disabilities issued by Govt. authority.
• Certificate of Ex-servicemen issued by the Director, Sainik Welfare Board.
• Scanned Signature.
