Office of the Director General Assam Rifles, Shillong has released a job advertisement for the recruitment of 44 posts of Rifleman, Warrant Officer and other vacancy through Compassionate Ground Appointment Scheme in the Assam Rifles. Pay Scale: Pay scale and other allowance will be as admissible to Assam Rifles Personnel.

Eligibility Criteria of Assam Rifles Recruitment:

Age Limit as on 1 Jan 2024:

 

• General Duty: 18-23 years

• Personal Assistant: 18-25 years

• Draughtsman: 18-25 years

• Lineman Field: 18-23 years

• Recovery Veh Mech:  18-25 years

• Plumber: 18-23 years

• X-Ray Assistant: 18-23 years

Other Criteria: Only one dependent family member of assam rifles personnel who were killed in action, died while in service, discharged from service on medical ground and missing while in service are eligible to apply for compassionate ground appointment.

Dependent Family Members: The following would be classified as Dependent family members:-

(a) Spouse, or

(b) Son (incl legally adopted), or

(c) Daughter (incl legally adopted)

(d) Brother or sister dependent on Unmarried force personal at the time of his death/ retirement on medical grounds.

Educational Qualification:

• General Duty: 10th class pass from recognized Board.

• Personal Assistant: Intermediate or Senior Secondary School Certificate (1 0+2) examination from recognized Board/University or equivalent.

• Draughtsman: 10+2 or equivalent from a recognised Board and three years Diploma in Architectural Assistantship from any recognized Polytechnic college or institution.

• Lineman Field: 10th class pass from a recognised Board with industrial Training institute certificate in Electrician trade from a recognised institute.

• Recovery Veh Mech: 10th class pass and industrial Training institute (lTl) certificate in Recovery Vehicle Mechanic or Recovery Vehicle Operator from a recognized Board or University.

• Plumber: 10th class pass from a recognised Board with Industrial Training Institute certificate in Plumber trade from a recognised Institute.

• X-Ray Assistant: 10+2 pass with diploma in Radiology from a recognised Board or University.

Trade Test Norms: Candidates must have Practical knowledge in respective trade.
