Name of Post: Grade I of Assam Judicial Service (AJS)
No of Posts: 12
Scale of Pay: Rs. 1,44,840- 1,94,660/- per month
Eligibility Criteria of Assam Judicial Service Recruitment
Citizenship: A candidate must be a citizen of India as defined in Articles 5 & 6 of the Constitution of India.
Age Limit:
• UR: Candidates age must be between 35 years to 45 years as on the last date fixed for receipt of applications.
• SC/ ST(P)/ ST (H): Candidates age must be between 35 years to 48 years as on the last date fixed for receipt of applications.
Educational Qualification:
• Must be holder of Degree in Law from a recognized University.
• Must be practicing as an Advocate in Courts of Civil and Criminal jurisdiction on the last date fixed for receipt of applications and must have been so practicing for a period of not less than 7 (seven) years as on such date. [Will have to provide certificate of continuous practice issued by competent authority {BAR(s) in which the candidate is practicing) at the time of document verification]
