Medical and Health Recruitment Board (MHRB), Assam released a job advertisement for the recruitment of 16 (Sixteen) posts of Food Safety Officer (FSO) under the Commissionerate of Food Safety and Drug Administration, Health & Family Welfare Department, Govt. of Assam. Food Safety Officer Recruitment Details

• UR — 10

• OBC/MOBC — 3

• SC — 2

• STP — 1

Scale of pay: Rs. 22,000/- - 97,000/-+ Grade Pay Rs. 9,400/- plus other allowances as admissible under the Rules. 

Eligibility Criteria of Food Safety Officer Recruitment

Age: A candidate should not be less than 21 years and not more than 38 years of age as on 01/01/2023.

Relaxation: 

I. 5 years for SC/ST candidates i.e. upto 43 years.

II. 3 years for OBC/MOBC Candidates i.e. 41 years.

III. For Persons with Disabilities (PWD) by 10 years irrespective of SC/ST/OBC and General Category of candidates.

Educational Qualification:

a. A Bachelor's or Master's or Doctorate degree in Food Technology or Dairy Technology or Biotechnology or Oil Technology or Agricultural Science or Veterinary Sciences or Bio-Chemistry or Microbiology or Chemistry or medicine from a recognized University, 

OR

b. Any other equivalent/ recognized qualification notified by the Food Authority with the prior approval of the Central Government.

Application Fee of Food Safety Officer

❖ Rs. 250/- only for General category candidates 

❖ Rs. 150/- only for OBC/MOBC/SC/ST (P)/ST (H) candidates. 

❖ Nil:  BPL and PWD candidates.

Payment Mode: Application fee may be deposited, through Treasury Challan in the Head of Account

“0210-Medical and Public Health-01-Urban Health Services-800-Other Receipt”.

OR

Fees can be deposited online using Government Receipt Accounting System-GRAS (Website: https://assamegras.gov.in).
